Blackbird is a 3-day curated film program, presented with Cinema Akil and Alserkal Avenue, that explores black memory, voice, and legacy through cinema. It is the first such exploration in the region. The program weaves together stories of revolutionary icons, coming-of-age brilliance, and diasporic reflection, offering cinema as a bridge across time, memory and place.

Each film will be followed by online discussions and open community conversations with directors, producers, special guests, and thought partners, fostering dialogue that transcends generations and geographies.
