Located in the historic heritage village of Al Jazeera Al Hamra, the Festival provides a unique space where international art meets Emirati cultural heritage.

The theme of the festival for 2027 is “Lost in Translation.” Inspired by Sofia Coppola’s iconic film (2003), the festival takes “translation” as a central idea and metaphor, exploring ideas of cultural displacement, identity, miscommunication, and the emotional experience of being between places, languages, and selves.
