CONVIVIO Exhibition: From Italian Language to Art

The Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi is pleased to invite you to the opening of CONVIVIO, an impro collective exhibition exploring the dialogue between contemporary art and the Italian language, presented as part of the XXVI Week of the Italian Language in the World, dedicated to the theme A Brilliant Language: Imagining, Designing, and Creating with Italian.

Bringing together 17 international artists residing in the United Arab Emirates, CONVIVIO is the outcome of a one-day artistic residency offered  by the Italian Cultural Institute at its premises. During the residency, each artist created an original artwork inspired by the Italian language, its words, sounds and expressive possibilities.

The exhibition brings together different cultures, perspectives and artistic approaches, showing how a shared literary and linguistic starting point can generate a diverse range of visual interpretations.

Join us for the opening reception and discover the artworks created during this unique artistic experience.
